EDINBURGH: EXPLORE EDINBURGH'S FRINGE FESTIVAL

Program Dates: August 2025 Students in Scotland 3

Academic Focus:  Students in this Summer program will have the chance to explore Edinburgh and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival-the largest international arts festival in the world! Students on this trip will:
  • Attend international performances together
  • Enjoy a wide array of street performances
  • Take a tour of the Edinburgh castle
  • Attend a traditional Scottish afternoon tea

Students are highly encouraged to seek out and attend additional performances outside of the pre-planned group productions, many of which can be seen for free! There will be opportunities to perform in Scotland for those students interested in this experience. Casting discussions will take place once the trip applications have been approved. (Students approved for this trip will be given the choice to perform or support the production in other ways, like helping hand out flyers or providing technical support.)

Eligibility: Open to students majoring in Theatre. Student must be in good academic standing and have a minimum 3.0 GPA at time of application (and maintain that GPA minimum semester before program). Limited slots available.
*Because of the location and the nature of our activities, it is critical that the students that participate in this Summer course are prepared physically, emotionally, and mentally for the experience.
